Funnel Troubleshooting

Your funnels might be missing information due to the following reasons:

Unspecified URL

This commonly happens when no sessions are being reported or if there is an unexpected drop-off in your funnels. Such cases differ from each other depending on the match operations being used and the values being entered. It’s important that the match you are making properly targets your site URLs.

Problems with a trailing/in the URLs

When using simple or exact match you need to make sure you are using the same URL your visitors are accessing on your site.

The exact order is no being followed

TruConversion gives strict Funnels.To ensures the accuracy of data your visitor must complete all the steps as you designate in your funnel in strict order. TruConversion does not support loose Funnels. Let’s start with an example where the funnel has steps: A, B, C, D and go through a few cases:

  • If visitor does steps A -> B -> C -> D in exact order. TruConversion will mark this as a conversion.
  • If visitor does steps A -> B -> F -> C -> D. TruConversion will not mark this as a conversion. This is an example of loose ordering.
  • If visitor does steps A -> B -> C -> F. TruConversion will not mark this as a full conversion.
